What if There Was a NBA Draft Full of Cal Players?

The first decade with Coach Cal is in the books. Man, it was great and so many great players, teams, personalities, and just great moments in general. So, with that being said the other day I had the thought what if there was a NBA draft full of the dudes that Cal has had at Kentucky. So, today I am gonna draft a full first round draft of players during the Cal Era. Now this is not a ranking of the greatest, or how they did in the NBA. This is how I would have drafted them coming out of college if they were all in the same draft. A couple examples: Devin Booker will not be a top 5 pick. Now, If this was a list of how players have done in the NBA he is probably top 3. We all know you wouldn't have drafted him that high coming out of college. Another one, Tyler Ulis was great at Kentucky. Probably top 2 or 3 point guard but we all know we wouldn't draft him high at all. That being said let's begin and remember this is how I would draft them out of college for the NBA.

- So, where do we start Wall, Davis, or Towns? Well here it is.

1.) Anthony Davis

2.) John Wall

3.) Karl-Anthony Towns

4.)DeMarcus Cousins

5.)Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

6.) De'Aaron Fox

7.)Julius Randle

8.)Jamal Murray

9.)Brandon Knight

10.)Kevin Knox

11.)Nerlens Noel

12.)Willie Cauley-Stein

13.)Malik Monk

14.)Devin Booker

15.)Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

16.)Bam Adebayo

17.)Eric Bledsoe

18.)Tyler Herro

19.)Trey Lyles

20.)P.J. Washington

21.)Terrence Jones

22.)James Young

23.)Patrick Patterson

24.)Skal Labissiere

25.)Keldon Johnson

26.)Jarred Vanderbilt

27.)Tyler Ulis

28.)Marquis Teague

29.)Daniel Orton

30.)Archie Goodwin

Early second rounders: Hamidou Diallo, Andrew Harrison,Darius Miller,Josh Harrellson, DeAndre Liggins,Dakari Johnson

Not mentioned: Enes Kanter (simply because he never got to play a minuet of college ball)

So, placing these players in a draft order is one harder things to do believe it or not. So, many things that could go either way. For example: Anthony Davis or John Wall, where do you put Booker, and just the 10-20 range, and many more. There are so many great players. Also, I know there are some that you probably don't agree with but there are just some guys I thought coming out of college would be great. Some I was wrong on and some I was right on. I also did not put any undrafted dudes on this list. Even though some have shined.

All in all these has been a great decade with Coach Cal. We have produced 37 draft picks, 3 number 1 overall draft picks, 1 Nation Championship, 4 Final Fours, and we don't talk about or celebrate Elite Eights. This isn't Tennessee and we will leave it at that.

Hopefully the next decade is as good as the last one has been. Thanks so much for reading this article. Comment, give a heart, and share.

Go Cats.
