Vols Dominate Razorbacks
After a disappointing performance on Saturday against Kentucky, the Tennessee Vols came out firing on all cylinders. After one of the best-played games we’ve seen this year, Tennessee defeated Arkansas 82-61. The Volunteers were led by Santiago Vescovi who had a season-high 20 points and 8 assists. The Vols also had support from Jordan Bowden with 16 points and John Fulkerson with 14. The Vols led for the majority of the game and never looked back. The Razorbacks didn't hit 10 points until there were 9 minutes remaining in the first half— a very common feat for a Rick Barnes’ team. Tennessee has been putting out extremely inconsistent matches this season. Tonight, however, they played the best they’ve played all season!
Tennessee returns to action this Saturday at 6 PM at South Carolina. This will be a tough atmosphere to find a W, but it is a must-win if the Volunteers want to have any hopes of making the big dance in March.
Tennessee’s remaining 8 games will be one of the most difficult stretches for any team in college basketball. There are plenty of chances for the Vols to make an impression on the tournament committee. Tonight though, let's celebrate a victory and prepare for Saturday! 🍊🍊
