Tennessee is in a Must Win Situation

On Saturday, Tennessee travels to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. It’s really hard pill to swallow, I know, but Jeremy Pruitt is in a must win situation... in year 3. Before all you couch coaches and unrealistic fans spam this article, let me ask you the question, are you happy with Pruitt’s record and performance over the last 3 years? Georgia State and Kentucky for example, they’re unacceptable losses and any program that‘s trying to rebuild can’t have those setbacks. With all the being said, Pruitt needs to take care of business on Saturday. Do I think he’ll be fired if he loses? No. But I do think the seat would grow unbelievably hot with a loss to the Razorbacks. Saturday won’t be an easy win, Sam Pittman has Arkansas playing really well. They have a top defense that is pretty solid in all areas. Arkansas is ranked second in the SEC for interceptions, which means Guarantano might have another rough game. After the Volunteers play Arkansas, the won’t have it easy, playing against 3 ranked teams and 2 non ranked teams. If Tennessee loses on Saturday, not only will the coaching seat be hot, the fan base will be checking out and turning their focus to basketball. If you agree or disagree with this article, that’s fine, but you can’t say that Saturday is not a big game. Hopefully after this bye week, the team got back to the basics and are able to pull out the victory!

Later in the week we’ll be releasing our staff predictions for the game on Saturday so make sure you be on the lookout for that!
