Paolo Banchero is the #4 ranked player in the class of 2021, the #1 power forward in the class, and #1 player in the state of Washington. At 6’9,235 lbs, Paolo definitely has the physical tools needed to play in the SEC (frankly any conference in the NCAA). He is most effective from the high post where he can hit up the face up, drive, and dunk. He can also use his elite vision to create for his teammates. One of the main knocks about Paolo is his perimeter shot, it could use some work. Let’s be real though, who better to coach him up rather than Tennessee’s Head Coach Rick Barnes? Coach Barnes has a proven track record of helping guys develop a better outside shot; Kevin Punter, Yves Pons, and Kyle Alexander are all examples of the great work Barnes has done with improving jump shots. There are currently zero Crystal Ball picks for Paolo to Tennessee, but that doesn’t mean you can count us out. Banchero is very close with another Tennessee prospect, Kennedy Chandler. If the Vols are able to land them both, Tennessee will be the school to beat.
