Nation’s No.1 ILB Backs off Vols Commitment

Written: Dallas Bowlin

The hits keep coming Vol Nation. On November 30th, Terrence Lewis went to twitter to announce his decommitment from the Vols. Lewis is the nation's number one ranked inside linebacker and was the prized jewel of the Vols 2021 class, Lewis stated in his tweet on Monday “I would like to take the time out to announce that I’ll be de-committing from The University of Tennessee. There’s no love lost they’re still my top school as of now but I need these next couple weeks to explore my options to make sure I make the best decision for my future.“

Now, even though Lewis did state that Tennessee was still his top school (as of now), I have my own opinion that if Tennessee was still the favorite, he would’ve stayed committed, but alas, he did not (insert sad face here).

This decommitment served as more fuel to the fire for Vol fans wanting to fire head coach Jeremy Pruitt. Make no mistake about it, this is a big hit to the Vols as they try to tread through this rough patch. So far, this is NOT the decade of the Vols football team.
