Today on the podcast, Tennessee’s great Chris Lofton joined us for a interview. Personally, I believe Lofton is the greatest player ever to put on the orange & white. I remember those historic years with Bruce Pearl... I would stay up all night to watch Tennessee and Memphis during their famous Elite Eight run.
Chris Lofton was a Kentucky native who was awarded Mr. Basketball in 2004 and won a state title with Mason County in 2003. Wildly enough (and thank the basketball gods), Kentucky or Louisville didn’t offer him a scholarship. In the end, Lofton chose the University of Tennessee. Lofton earned about every achievement you can earn as a college basketball player (minus winning a title) from 3x First Team All-SEC, SEC All-Freshman team, 2007 SEC player-of-the-year and many more awards playing oversea.

Most fans my age idolize Chris Lofton. I mean, I have a Lofton jersey that I wear during every game.
