Okay, admittedly, it’s a long shot, and Fulk probably isn’t even the most likely to win on his own team, but when you’re talking about someone who had 27 points in Rupp Arena and led his team to a victory, you have to say it’s a possibility. Last year John put up 13.7 ppg, 5.9 rebs, and 1.3 assist on 61% from the field. Last year’s winner, Immanuel Quickley, averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.9 assist. So say Fulkerson comes in and ups his PPG by 3 points, he would basically match Quickley’s season as far as stats go. Now last year, Fulkerson was probably your best player on a down year and with the Vols bringing in a trio of talented freshman, Victor Bailey, an improved Santiago Vescovi, and Yves Pons. Realistically, if Fulkerson is your best player on this years team, you probably fall short on what your goals for the season are/were so I would expect Fulkerson’s numbers to drop some. But who's to say it’s impossible though? I mean, if I were to tell you in 2019 what all would happen in 2020, you’d say I was crazy.
