Haarms Leaning Toward BYU?

Matt Haarms (Photo credit: Joe Robbins/Getty Images

This time last night it was to the belief that Matt Haarms was all but signed up and ready to go for the Wildcats next season. However, just like the weather, things change. Jack Pilgrim of Kentucky Sports Radio just broke some news that really has crushed the hearts of some in BBN.

As we can all see, the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction, in favor of BYU. Can things change once more? Sure, no one knows! We'll know for sure sometime tomorrow what needs to happen in Lexington once Haarms publicly announces where he is going.

What are our other options?

The graduate transfer market is getting rather small for bigs. VCU's big man Marcus Santos-Silva annouced he will indeed transfer so that is always an option. Calipari would indeed have to play small-er ball with him in the post- he's only 6'7". Silva is a below the rim guy but does well with the space he is given. Last season he averaged 12.8 ppg and 8.9 rpg in the Atlantic Ten.

Another option, as of now, would to put Isaiah Jackson/Lance Ware down there and just roll with what we have.

We shall see! We will keep you up to date with the latest here at Borderline!
