Darrell Taylor has been selected in the NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks with the 48th pick. Taylor becomes the first Vol to be selected in the 2020 draft and ends a year long draft drought for the Vols.
Taylor finished his senior season at Tennessee with 10 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. Taylor's 8.5 sacks were good for second in the SEC.
How does Taylor fit with the Seahawks? Perfectly, most assumed that the Seahawks would go for a pass rusher early in this draft. Rumors even circulated late last night that they Hawks may trade up to get Taylor or another pass rusher at the end of the first round last night. The Seahawks waited and they still got their guy.
Most around the Seahawks organization don't see Jadeveon Clowney returning and Taylor could hop in and be a plug and play guy immediately. The Seahawks scheme also fits Taylors explosiveness and style of play.
I fully expect Taylor to have a big year in Seattle and a long Career.
